First up is our First Mate’s Platter. This fried feast allows guests to choose two favorite seafood options and pair them with fries, cole slaw, and our homemade hushpuppies. Guests can choose two items from this list: Flounder, Catfish, Mahi, Fried Oysters, Fried Scallops, Gulf Shrimp, Grouper, and Popcorn Shrimp. This platter indeed proves that there is something for everyone at Bubba’s Fish Shack.
Next up is the Shrimp Basket. A menu staple for seafood restaurants around the country, Fried Shrimp is more than just a little ball on a plate. It is a bite of delicious wrapped in a golden brown edible wrapper waiting to be enjoyed. Served in a basket and paired with our tasty fries, you can’t go wrong with this option. The next option should come as no surprise. Our Pickle Nickels are the stuff of dreams. An absolute favorite of Bubba’s Fish Shack guests, Pickle Nickels garner smiles, happy palates, and social media attention quicker than anything else on our menu. We agree! Our Captain’s Platter is the next item, an option that should not be taken lightly. It is like the First Mate’s Platter, only BIGGER, MUCH BIGGER. The Captains Platter features the same list of items to choose from and is paired with the same fantastic fries, slaw, and our homemade hushpuppies, but you choose four items from the list of Flounder, Catfish, Mahi, Fried Oysters, Fried Scallops, Gulf Shrimp, Grouper, and Popcorn Shrimp. If you plan to order the Captain’s Platter, you better bring your appetite.
To round out the Top 5, we finish on the Flounder Basket. From a nutritional standpoint, flounder are nutrient-rich fish with 24 grams of high-quality protein per 200 grams of a cooked serving. Flounder can be a primary source of amino acids and contains a full range of essential acids. Flounder is also one of the lowest fatty fish consumed in the United States, featuring only 5 grams of fat and 1.2 grams of saturated fats per 200-gram serving. It contains less than 200 calories per serving, making it an excellent offering for those on a diet. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention a couple of honorable mentions to our Top 5 Guest Favorites. Our guests love our hushpuppies so much that sometimes, the ones that are served with your meal are just not enough to satisfy the table.
